MMA pound-for-pound rankings: After soaring to UFC title, Jiri Prochazka surges into ESPN top 10

Jiri Prochazka became a champion in just his third Octagon appearance, dethroning Glover Teixeira in a wild light heavyweight title bout in the UFC 275 headliner Saturday in Singapore.

Along with the shiny belt that was wrapped around his waist, the entertainingly inventive Czech fighter also has earned a spot in the ESPN pound-for-pound rankings for men’s MMA.

That is the most notable change in the latest rankings, although former strawweight champ Zhang Weili moves up a couple of spots in the women’s top 10 on the strength of her UFC 275 victory over another ex-champ, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

In addition, with Holly Holm dropping out of the women’s rankings following a loss last month, Katlyn Chookagian returns to the top 10.

Note: Results are current; rankings as of June 14.
