Northern Ireland: DUP to vote against key part of Windsor Framework

DUP MPs will vote against the Stormont brake, a key part of the Windsor Framework, in the House of Commons on Wednesday. The break allows Stormont to request disapplication of EU law, but Westminster must approve it.

The DUP’s opposition makes the unionist party rejoining power share less likely. Party leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson cited ongoing concerns and the need for further progress.
