Clint Eastwood classic A Fistful Of Dollars set to be remade

Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood’s A Fistful of Dollars looks to be the next classic film to get the remake treatment.

According to a report on Deadline, the project is in its early stages and the original movie’s production company Jolly Film is on board.

It is not yet known who will write the movie and no details have been released on the start date and cast.

A Fistful of Dollars is seen as one of the key films that launched the “spaghetti western” genre.

Eastwood and Leone went on to make two sequels – For A Few Dollars More in 1965 and The Good The Bad And The Ugly in 1966.

A Fistful Of Dollars was released five years after Eastwood got his big break as an actor on the western series Rawhide.

It is the story of a lone gunfighter with no name who plays two rival families against each other.
