GMC quietly reveals 2025 Sierra EV Denali with $10,000 lower starting price

The 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is still a rare sight on US roads, but that hasn’t stopped GM from rolling out the 2025 version with up to 440 miles of range … and a base price that’s $10,000 lower than the ’24!

Three-letter bandit fans who missed out on the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 have about ten thousand reasons to be excited about this week. Following the launch of its sister vehicle, the GM Ultium-based 2025 Chevy Silverado EV WT, GMC quietly added the 2025 Sierra EV Denali to its website with an MSRP of “just” $89,900. While that price might still be a tough pill to swallow, it’s nearly $10,000 less than the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1’s starting MSRP of $99,495 (including $1,995 DFC).

And, perhaps more interestingly, there isn’t so much as a mention of the 2025 GMC Sierra EV on the company’s news site as I type this.

GMC is keeping it quiet

The 2025 Sierra EV Denali offers almost everything that the more expensive 2024 model offered, including the full 440 miles of range, 10,500 lb. tow rating, and lightning-fast 800-Volt DC fast charging that enables it to juice with up to 350kW of power. Fast enough, the company says, to add more than 100 miles of range in less than 10 minutes.

The truck also comes standard with 3 years’ worth of GM’s second-generation OnStar Super Cruise, which it calls “the largest hands-free driving network” in America.

Other standard Sierra EV Denali standard features include 4-wheel steering with “crab walk” feature, the MultiPro Midgate, adaptive Air Ride suspension, a panoramic glass roof, and V2H capability that can keep a properly equipped home powered up for up to 21 days with reduced daily energy usage.

If Elon’s pro-Trump antics or the dumpster-inspired styling have turned you off to the Cybertruck but you’re still in the market for an upscale electric pickup that won’t make you look like an Andrew Tate fan, the new Sierra EV Denali is worth a look.

Heck, when you consider that the 2025 GMC offers similar towing and over 100 miles of additional range without the ridiculous range-extender eating up the bed (and all that for a staggering $26,806 less than the average transaction price of a new Cybertruck), it might be worth checking out regardless!
