Storm Ciara: The clean-up begins across the UK

The clean-up is underway after thousands of areas in the UK were left battered by Storm Ciara.

More than 20,000 homes are without power and parts of the UK could see blizzards and up to 20cm of snow.

UK Power Networks said more than 18,500 households across the east and southeast of England are still without electricity, while Western Power Distribution reported more than 2,800 households remain without power.
