Russia Rebellion: Putin likely to strengthen domestic defence by ‘taking forces away from Ukraine’

A sudden uprising in Russia was over too fast to have any immediate impact on the war in Ukraine, but it exposed a fragility in Moscow that Kyiv will seek to exploit, experts have said.

Retired Air Vice-Marshal Sean Bell has told Sky News that in the long run, Vladimir Putin will likely strengthen the defences of Moscow by “potentially taking some forces away from Ukraine reserves.”
